Music Therapy


Music therapy is an evidenced based health field that uses music and music activities to achieve a variety of therapeutic goals. Sessions are tailored to each individual's goals and needs and could include activities such as active music making, improvisation, lyric analysis, and music relaxation, etc.

To earn the nationally recognized music therapy board certification (MT-BC), music therapists must complete courses about music, psychology,child development, education; as well as pass a competency exam, and complete yearly continuing education credits.
