Alexis Edmonds
MM, MT-BC
I am a lifelong musician, singing as soon as I could talk and was lucky enough to be put in violin lessons at the young age of five. From there I added guitar and piano to my repertoire. When I learned about the field of music therapy, it seemed like the perfect career for me to be able to use my passion to help people in my community. After completing my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at Northern Arizona University in 2012, I earned my Masters in Music Therapy from Arizona State University in 2016.

As a student and recent grad, I found a love for spreading the joy of music through teaching guitar, piano, voice, and violin lessons to people of all ages. Since earning my board certification in music therapy (MT-BC) I have worked with a variety of populations including adult psychiatric and substance use recovery, children and adults with developmental disabilities, people with dementia and more.

In 2021 I decided to expand my skill set by becoming a certified Life Coach through the Southwest Institute of Healing Arts. Through life coaching I hope to empower my clients to move through transitions and achieve their goals. As founder of Apollo Awakening Academy, my goal is to empower my clients to find their voices and express their hearts.
